Not really… they got married on top of the dune which was definitely out in the open. I think to pull this off you have to really be committed to the idea that no matter what this is where you want to get married. I think a lot of umbrellas could help if it rains but realistically there are no alternatives within walking distance.

Hello, I was wondering if you had to get a permit thru the national park or the state park? And what time of day did you have your wedding? Plus how many people were there and did you have to worry about parking? We are looking at having our wedding here but are worried about parking…

Hi Ashley, Because they got married on top of the dune it wasn’t very crowded and people were actually very respectful of the ceremony. When we went down to the water to do some Bridal Party photos it was definitely more crowded but again people made room for us. I was actually surprised how smoothly everything went. People carried a beach chair or blanket up to the top and sat or stood for the ceremony, and that seemed to work well. My guess is if you did it on a holiday weekend or late in the afternoon it would be harder to find parking/space but this wedding really went quite smoothly all things considered!

I would love to get married at Mt Baldy. Was it hard to find the space available since it is a public beach?
